John's diverse professional engineering expertise spans a range of critical responsibilities vital to the engineering solutions team. As NetPMD Solutions' Engineer of Record, he will oversee the company's engineering design efforts, focusing on the development and permitting of cutting-edge fiber-optic broadband networks. Throughout each phase of engineering, John will lend his keen eye to providing professional reviews of design, excavation, and traffic control plans, collaborating closely with functional team leaders to mitigate traffic disruption, facilitate safe traffic flow in and around proposed work zones while adhering rigorously to industry standards. To ensure his knowledge remains at the forefront of industry advancements, John will remains dedicated to continuous professional development, actively participating in trainings to stay abreast with industry practices.
John brings an illustrious engineering career spanning over a decade in telecommunications. His journey in telecommunications began over a decade ago with his fearless ascent of towers for inspection, demonstrating his dedication in the field. He then analyzed those very towers for structural engineering feasibility of supporting antenna equipment, and went on to manage a wide variety of projects that included small cells, distributed antenna systems (DAS), and fiber optic network installations, both in the field and from a comprehensive perspective. Prior to joining the ranks of NetPMD Solutions, John played a pivotal role in Tesla's mission to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy.
At Tesla, John was instrumental in leading the construction procurement efforts for the fast-paced Gigafactory 1 project, overseeing the acquisition of goods and services crucial for the Gigafactory's success. His responsibilities ranged across various domains, including engineering design, instrumentation & controls, and low-voltage electrical & telecom. Throughout all phases of the project, including bid selection and strategic sourcing, contract execution, vendor management, accounts payable, and contract closeout, John exhibited exceptional leadership and strategic skill. His experience at Tesla underscores his ability to navigate high-profile complex projects with finesse and efficiency, managing intricate processes with precision while upholding an unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation. Now, as he brings his abundance of expertise and problem-solving skills to NetPMD Solutions, John's unique blend of industry knowledge, leadership acumen, and relentless dedication promises to drive the company's engineering endeavors to new heights of success.
